Christopher Havens is a 40-year professional focusing on commercial office leasing, tenant representation and new office development for TerraCRG. He co-leads the Office Team with Caroline Pardo, another Brooklyn veteran. Together they are the most experienced team in Brooklyn. Prior, Havens was the first Director of Commercial Real Estate for aptsandlofts.com, which was acquired by CitiHabitats in October 2015. Specializing in Brooklyn, Chris represents properties like 1000 Dean Street, a creative office building in Crown Heights, 267 Douglass Street, 794 Union Street, 475 Kent Avenue, 105 Court Street, 258 Duffield and 110 York shared space. He consulted on pre-development for 25 Kent Avenue. Active in tenant representation, Chris and his team serve clients as Data Cubes, Forestdale, Toll Brothers NY, Gothamist, DATALOT, Weems & Kozek, Stink Digital, Brooklyn Foundry, WEAV Music, Hedda Sterne Foundation and more. From 1998 to 2002, Chris worked at Insignia/ESG on office leasing in Brooklyn & Queens on conversions of industrial properties to office space. He's been involved in the conversion or re-positioning of 13 buildings, totaling over 4 million square feet. In 2002, he joined Two Trees Management Co. in DUMBO as their first Director of Leasing for their 1.2 million square foot portfolio, and was co-creator of the first Brooklyn loft office market. Chris founded the Creative Real Estate Group in 2007 to market and lease creative work spaces. A consultant to Industry City Associates; he designed their creative work space leasing program. He was co-agent with CBRE for SL Green’s 16 Court Street and GFI Development’s 470 Vanderbilt Avenue, leasing 183,013 RSF in 54 leases and 532,000 RSF in three leases at 16 Court and 470 Vanderbilt, respectively. CREG also represented 32 Court Street, the boutique office property, raising the occupancy rate from 80% to 95%. He has a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from Hunter College & a B.A. from Macalester College and is a Trustee of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and a multi-decade REBNY Member. He and is family live in Brooklyn and Red Bank, NJ.
