Chris and his team are responsible for shaping the direction of the ATO's future service experience, specifically the setting and execution of the Corporate Strategy. We aim to know our clients, and their needs. Deliver the right service at the right time. Make it easy for all to comply with tax, superannuation, & business registry obligations, whilst supporting our clients through a transparent service offering. His team also supports the governance and key committees of the ATO.

Chris is the Global Head of Operational Excellence & Data Management for Swiss Re, across Asia-Pacific, the Americas, Europe, Middle East & Africa. He is responsible for driving operational excellence across the end-to-end business, always with a Client service lens. He works with the Unit Heads and Global Service Leads across the business to ensure Business Management has an operational base that can flex and scale to support the ambitions of the firm. He champions the customer experience, ensure our operations are data-driven, drives the necessary ongoing transformational change, fosters continuous improvement mindset and action, and drives relevant technology/ digital development.

As Head of Strategy & Operations Chris leads strategy formation for the Australia and New Zealand branch, along with regional and group strategy execution responsibilities. His team is also involved in strategic partnership, events and communications management. Chris' team contains the Project Management Office, including change management activities, and operational areas such as Business Continuity Management and Outsourcing activities. He sits on the local leadership team and the Asia Strategy & Operations Leadership team across both Life and Non-Life reinsurance business units.

On an interim basis, Chris is undertaking the role of Chief Risk Officer (CRO). In his time as CRO, Chris is responsible for reinsurance risk management activities including running the Risk Management Committee, reviewing the Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Standards, as well as representing on cross functional teams from a risk management perspective. He is also responsible for leading the entities response to the Royal Commission into Financial Services.
