As a Project & Programming Accountant for Viacom Media Networks I provide a wide range of skill and experience to manage multiple functions of the month end accounting close procedures as well as streamlining the day-to-day procurement to pay process for our Acquired Programming vendors, ensuring our vendors are paid timely and resolve any issues throughout the process. I led our team during Viacom's transition to SAP accounting software as a "super user" to train my colleagues on the useful functions for reporting as well as for vendor payments. I also led our team to convert our 500+ acquired programming contract payment obligations to purchase orders and actively maintain these to gross up monthly obligations by contract.Tasks I perform during our month end close procedures include (but not limited to): preparing monthly roll-forward asset reports for our acquired programming assets, prepare monthly entry for our short term/long terms asset reclasses, prepare entry for our negative asset accruals, calculate and book monthly overhead rates for our channel brands, and reconcile our master payment file to reconcile any variances and to gross up any prepaid items.Daily functions include generating and maintaining purchase orders for all of our domestic and Latin America channel brands acquired programming contracts, ensuring proper setup of vendor payment information, and coordinating payment and payment resolution for vendors.

As a guitar player and songwriter I played professionally coast-to-coast and recorded on several critically acclaimed recordings and releases. My band was signed to MySpace Records as an artist and toured extensively in support of our recordings. I managed most of the business operations of our band - including ordering and maintaining inventory for CD's, merchandise, posters, etc; planning and budgeting tours; coordinating marketing efforts with street team members; and managing our band's accounting books and payment obligations.
