I was a Saab pilot with Hazelton Airlines (subsequently Rex) and Flight Operations Performance Manager before winning a job at Virgin Blue as Flight Operations Performance Manager for the Boeing fleet.In my role as Aircraft Performance Engineering Manager and subsequently General Manager – Australasia for Naverus (and subsequently GE Aviation) I have worked on projects in the Canada, the USA, China, New Zealand and the Pacific delivering RNP procedure into terrain challenged airports. I worked closely with CASA to introduce PBN procedures into Australia (most specifically for Qantas). I also assisted CASA by providing technical support on the ICAO PBN Study Group who developed the ICAO doc 9613 – PBN Manual.In Airservices I delivered the “Trajectory Based Operating (TBO) Concept” –tabled at the ICAO ATMRPP – seventh Working Group meeting in Montreal on 21st October 2013 as Australia’s proposal for an ICAO Concept for TBO.I led the Airservices Airport Capacity Enhancement (ACE) program (at Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth airports) delivering significant, measurable improvements in airport capacity and efficiencies. In collaboration with the industry and Defence, I have also delivered the five volumes of the FAS (Future Airspace System) –and the “Flexible Use of Airspace Operating Concept” which forms the basis for Australia's future airspace architecture.I am a champion of innovation, with a knack of analysing a problem, developing a strategy, engaging stakeholders, securing resources, project planning and (importantly) delivering a measurable result that meets performance targets and delivers real benefit.
