I am a electrician on a 7th gen ultra deep water drill ship in Brazil .7th generation drill ship (Mylos) Cyber drilling NOV package DP3 vesselDiagnose and repair of Drill floor equipment, AC motors, generators, starters, VFD’s, HVAC systems and appliances in offshore accommodations -Carrying out and instructing junior electricians with preventative maintenance procedures on electrical equipment, certification, and recordkeeping and reporting, using STAR. -Adhering to preventative maintenance system will all electrical equipment on rig.- Ensuring adherence to the Lock Out / Tag Out system in conjunction with the Permit to Work system- Interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams- Order and maintain critical and non-critical spare parts inventory
