•Deputise for and assist Project Manager •Overall accountability and responsibility for planning and execution of BP Subsea Engineering Services project and establishment and management of delivery plans and costs.•Ensure compliance with technical integrity standards and project procedures;•Initiate and follow up of performance, contract and progress of all management, engineering, procurement and fabrication activities;•Optimise project delivery / results for the Company/and or client;•Monitor and control project budgets and schedule in order to ensure targets are met;•Liaison with discipline / requisition engineers, and project services, for project reporting and general engineering issues;•Liaison with supply chain management and project services for all procurement and service agreements;•Manage all interface and change management activities for the project particularly issues associated with variances between contractual requirements and ‘as-bid’ conditions;•Manage the various subcontracts for the timely delivery and execution of the project;•Interface with project partners, topside contractors, drilling and completions groups, consents and approvals etc, as defined by the project execution plans; •Management of and assurance of the safe, timely delivery of multi-discipline designed subsea equipment associated with the project;•Prepare all close out reports and handover documentation to client;•Prepare bid and proposals for clients both internal and external;•Assist in the investigation of any accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences or near misses involving BP Subsea Engineering Service contract

Leading multi discipline teams on concept, feasibility, execute and operations phases of subsea infill, tie back and controls infrastructure upgrade projects. This includes monitoring and controlling progress and cost. Developing subsea designs and deliverables, ensuring the work packages are delivered in line with technical integrity standards and project procedures and ensuring project interfaces are recorded, monitored and closed prior to project completion.Co-ordinating with client’s project engineers, managers, supply chain management and 3rd party project personnel and acting as client representative on steel flowline fabrication sites.Participate in and or leading design reviews. Participate in HAZOPS, HAZIDS and risk assessments both internally and externally. Carrying out project risk reviews then monitoring and mitigating risks for all projects under my control.

Fire Suppression system upgrade on gas turbine powered compressors to ensure facilities met new legislative requirements.Co-ordinated installation of fire suppression systems to 22 compressorsSupervise system installation and measure / record changes to scope and progress of work.Project was delivered on schedule and within budget against demanding time and cost constraints. Project completed (20,000 hrs) with no time lost to accidents.

Assistant Welding Engineer (Group) Welding engineering for steel land pipelines, above ground installations, hot taps and gas reduction stations.Responsible for producing welding procedure packages to national and international codes and standards. Developed weld procedures for inclusion in welding database. Made technical assessments of automatic welding systems for pipelines welding. Project managed the implementation of web based welding database for site quality engineers to access.

BP Schiehallion Central Manifold170 tonne subsea manifold, pile, guide base and controls structureSupervised fabrication and installation of inconel clad pipework.
