These brave men and women embody the courage of America’s Navy – readily going into harm’s way to complete their rescue missions in some of the most extreme environments imaginable."Being a Search and Rescue swimmer was one of the most challenging, exciting, and rewarding things I have ever done. You must be physically and mentally sharp at all times. In this role I was able to perform two seperate life-saving recoveries in the open ocean. With one of them being a night time recovery in the Indian Ocean. Overall the military for me was a great experience which allowed me to serve with some of the U.S. Navy's finest."
