EDI analysts work with internal and external customers/partners to increase total electronic transactions, improve accuracy leading to decrease costs and greater ease of conducting business with BSC. Provides analysis, support and guidance to both internal and external customers on moderate to complex electronic data transfers covering claim status/eligibility inquiries. Determines needs and capabilities of external customers to submit data electronically. Identifies potential problems and defines user/business requirements. Conduct data transfer testing and review submissions for accuracy; troubleshoots transmission errors. Review transmissions in accordance to industry/company/legal/ security standards. Track daily data transfers and production submissions. Ensures quality assurance and HIPAA standards are rigorously followed In conjunction with internal/external parties. Solid knowledge of electronic data practices and techniques including business processes and systems analysis. Experience with Electronic Data Ability to independently develop and implement moderate to complex electronic data transfer implementations. Working knowledge of health plan operations. Good interpersonal, team, customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills. Good project management skills with attention to details. Understanding of health plan legal, brand, and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines or milestone requirements. Good analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use most features of Excel and Word Ability. Experience to build queries in Business Objects to produce reports. Provide analysis and recommendations. Attention to detail. Experience in Facets, Claims Processing, Encounters. Experience in creating test cases and scenarios, executing test files, providing analysis and identifying defects. Good interpersonal and communication skills with external trading partners (verbal and written).
