I developed the framework to manage COVID19 outbreaks. Additionally the position managed the occupational health and safety for the new organisation.

Business ManagerMulticultural Aged Care Services Geelong (Macs) May 2007 - Aug 2021North Geelong, Australia• In 2015/16 was appointed as the acting CEO for a period 10 weeks. During that period I was effective in my crisis management as the organisation faced a major flood event in January 2016• Continue to be an effective member of the executive team • Proven ability to support families in their decision to use MACS services. That is provide the families guidance as to how they can navigate through the aged care system. We now have a wait list for all of our services.• Developed financial models which were successful in obtaining government loans and banking finance. As a result from the 2012 Aged Care Approval Round, MACS received a government zero real interest loan to the value of $4.9M for a term of 22 years to build an additional 30 permanent aged care beds • Improved management and Board reports, by introducing and revising key performance indicators. Wage cost was monitored by introducing budget EFT analysis and department heads were encouraged to develop leave management strategies for their staff. • Since participating in the initial trial for Consumer Directed Care Community Aged Care packages, MACS has been awarded additional packages in the community. The trial required extensive spreadsheets and access data bases. These systems have been replaced by the implementation of Carelink• Developed strategies to improve revenue raising capabilities without compromising MACS ability to address the unmet community needs. Government subsidies have increased because resident ACFI funding levels are reviewed during regular meetings with nursing staff.• Improved corporate governance by: o reviewing and developing policieso participating in the development of the risk management framework o developing registers such as compliance, assurance and company seal• Continued to achieve successful annual financial statutory audits.
