I started with British Gas as a Smart Energy Expert in 2015, this role involved attending customers properties and completing work to regulations and business requirements. In 2017 I started my role as a Smart Energy Coach, supporting engineers in the field with technical enquiries and managing in-day issues to keep the business running as smoothly as possible. This role involved dealing with customer complaints resolutions, and engaging stakeholders at all levels to feed improvements into the team.In 2018 I started my current role of Operational Excellence Coach. This role involves using KPI data to identify engineers that could improve their performance. I spend time with these engineers to identify behavioural and skill issues in the way that they work. Building rapport and engaging engineers is vital to improving performance within their roles, helping to create sustainable improvements and creating value for the business.
