Current• Developed the signature analysis in-process monitoring technologies and products used worldwide by the automobile, aerospace and heavy industry manufacturers to assure that no defects leave their facilities. Enhanced the existing state-of-the-art in-line process monitoring technology by combiningthe ability to learn how a good process works through the utilization of neural nets, fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence algorithms.• To date over 887 billion parts have been inspected with no defective parts leaving their facilities with an installed base of approaching 10,000 systems in North America, South America, Australia and Asia ranging from simple inspection cells to robotic assembly cells.• Integrated systems into existing production lines, created standalone robotic cells and interfaced with facility personnel on the design, development, installation, runoff and training.• Designed and Built a 3D Laser Vision/Two-Axis Robot Scanning System for the NCSU Department of Civil Engineering to analyze road surfaces. Currently being used by several doctoral and master degree candidates to perform their field research and laboratory studies.• Designing mobile 2D vision and Single Point Laser/Two-Axis Robot Scanning System for the NCSU Department of Civil Engineering to be utilized in all thirteen North Carolina Department of Transportation regional offices to evaluate road conditions and paving quality.• Managed a ten (10) person team consisting of mechanical, electrical and software engineers and coordinated with a two (2) person sales team to achieve an annual growth rate of over 49%.• Developed contacts to open the Pacific Rim Countries to the use of in-line process monitoring as a supplement to statistical quality control methods to guarantee that no defective part leaves their facility.• Extensive knowledge of sensing technologies and their applications along with artificial intelligence, C++ and LabVIEW programming languages.
