Being presented a challenge, thinking it through or talking it out with others, and coming to a solution is one of the most rewarding experiences. This is especially the case when it helps others. I don't view roadblocks as a bad thing. Instead, I see them as opportunities to learn. While figuring out the solution is alone is great, I am not afraid to ask for assistance when I recognize that I need it.I spent a lot of time leading and working with others as the president of MSOE's Society of Software Engineers (SSE). Bringing our organization out of the pandemic was a great challenge as we faced dwindling numbers.
