Responsible for strategic management of relationships with global External Manufacturers (EM) with an annual spend of $90MM, and sourcing for new product introductions (NPI).• Responsible for development of strategies for contracts and price negotiations with EMs to deliver value creation and year over year savings as per financial plan. • Lead global cross functional NPI teams from initial sourcing and engagement through product launch, and presented project updates to executive leadership team. • Developed formal systematic process for engagement and sourcing strategy of multiple categories of EM products to expedite launch in as little as 180 days from first engagement including development and implementation of procedures. Work with R&D on new design specification and sourcing.• Partner with business leaders to define and ensure supplier service level performance to support business. • Work closely with Supplier Quality Assurance on supplier qualification, and supplier development. • Responsible for establishing/monitoring effective key performance measurements of EMs & conducting regular supplier business reviews.• Manage Strategic Sourcing staff including initial training, and ongoing development.• Work closely with Finance to develop annual inventory Plan, Update, and LBEs for EM products, as well as departmental budgets for EM Operations.

Led Division wide global integration of procurement into Abbott corporate policies for newly acquired division. Ensured compliance to internal corporate and outside regulatory requirements.• Led implementation of SAP indirect purchasing system globally, including standardization of Statements of Work and bid processes working closely with corporate procurement organization.• Trained over 100 personnel globally onsite on corporate purchasing policies, and SAP system. • Developed and implemented Divisional Purchasing Global Internal Audit program. Conducted internal purchasing compliance audits at global manufacturing and commercial sites and represented division purchasing organization during compliance and financial audits. • Developed, implemented, and led Supplier Diversity Program for division, and led initiatives to increase diverse spend in several categories.
