I started out in the telecommunications industry in 2001. I installed healthcare and education systems as a subcontractor with BCS from 2000-2011. We mainly pulled the backbone wiring but we also installed the field equipment as well. In 2011, I started with SWC as an education technician. I have installed or serviced pretty much all of the Rauland Telecenter systems. I was a lead technician for about 2 years until I decided to go into the estimation department of SWC. I estimated large healthcare projects for hospital systems suck as Vanderbilt, Erlanger, Deaconess, etc. I then decided I wanted to be in the engineering department when the position opened. I started out as an Autocad drafter and quickly worked my way up to the main engineer for our Nashville branch. I engineer both nurse call systems in hospitals and intercom systems in our schools. I absolutely love the career I have chosen and hope I can continue to climb up the ranks for this amazing company.
