As a gallery proprietor, Chris has dedicated his career to curating and promoting high-quality contemporary art. With over a few decades of experience in the art world, he has honed his skills in identifying emerging artists and fostering relationships with established artists and collectors.Chris’s passion for art began at a young age, and he graduated from Boston University with a BFA degree from the School for the Arts. After moving to Chicago, he worked with several theater companies and appeared in television commercials while operating out of a studio on the west side with his wife, Laura Junge.In addition to expanding his picture framing skills during this time, Chris curated numerous exhibitions featuring both established and emerging artists, showcasing his keen eye for talent and deep understanding of the art market.Chris and Laura opened Jackson Junge Gallery in 2009 after a two-year renovation and build-out. As co-founders and owners, Chris oversees all aspects of gallery operations, including managing staff, developing budgets, and cultivating relationships with collectors and other galleries. He is always looking for new and innovative ways to promote the artists and exhibitions he represents.Chris is committed to educating the public about art and has organized numerous events to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work. His ultimate goal is to create a dynamic and supportive environment for artists to thrive and connect collectors with the art that inspires them.
