• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify, design and execute projects to assist in delivering the site CAPEX portfolio;
• Manage project costs to allocated budget, maintain project delivery schedules and ensure quality of execution activities;
• Provide technical support to the Standards Department including developing new Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Work Instructions, updating drawings and undertaking electrical installation audits.ACHIEVEMENTS
• Successfully managed projects such as the $29m procurement and build of 4 x 795F AC rear dump trucks, installation and commissioning of a heavy vehicle tyre monitoring system and a 1SAP wireless infrastructure project;
• Helped establish the newly formed Engineering Department by developing and implementing an engineering engagement process to regulate engineering requests.

Goonyella Riverside Mine

• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and execute improvement projects in the maintenance department servicing the coal preparation plants to enhance the productivity, reliability, safety and compliance of the plant;
• Mentor an electrical cadet and electrical vacation student who were new to the industry.ACHIEVEMENTS
• Developed and implemented a major safety initiative to provide positive isolation for dozer operators on the product stockpile;
• Successfully planned the electrical scope of a 4 week CPP shutdown which involved equipment procurement, contract management, commissioning and QA;
• Secured funding and front end loading for a 66/6.6kV substation upgrade, HV circuit breaker replacement and a mobile crib hut lighting project.

Brisbane

• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform detailed design on the George Fisher North feasibility study, Ridgeway Deeps Mine Expansion and Ernest Henry Underground Mine Expansion including electrical design for conveyors, winders, pumps, crushers, PLCs.
• Automated the creation of schematic and termination diagrams using the electrical design software Elecdes to significantly reduce drafting time.

Brisbane

• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research and evaluate evaporation mitigation options for a cooling water dam;
• Design pipe-work for a post-combustion capture of CO2 pilot plant;
• Service and repair pumps, conveyors, thickeners with mechanical fitters to gain hands-on experience and learn how to design with the tradesmen in mind.ACHIEVEMENTS
• Completed several projects including a safety audit of conveyor guarding throughout the plant and a spreadsheet which used live data to predict future stack emissions.
