Human Foundations provides leadership, strategic thinking, task-specific management, marketing, advertising and PR in virtually all aspects of socially-conscious business practice; the growth and operation of viable not-for-profit organisations, and the establishment of vibrant partnerships between the two. My role is to work with the Human Foundations team and our clients in delivering these services.

Slow Tours are designed to give clients a relaxing and enjoyable holiday: small groups; flexible programs of historic, geographic and garden site visits, boat trips, villages, markets, art galleries and other excursions; good food and wine; time to enjoy pleasurable experiences including canoe and bike rides for the more energetic! A wonderful experience for lovers of Slow Tours travel. I worked directly with the Director/Owner of Slow Tours Europe on marketing and communication strategies and building of networks.

Responsibilities included:Supervision of teams: HR (Staff and Volunteers) and Reception Team, including identified training for staff.Working with and across the executive team.Business Development and Marketing activities, inclusive of projects.Consulting with CEO to create change within the team I managed, progressing their capabilities and providing opportunities to develop their careers.Change management relative to projects and processes across the team.Developing external marketing and promotional opportunities aimed at positioning and profiling the organisation.Input into membership and fundraising strategies.MIFSA is a community based, not for profit organisation delivering a range of programs and services for people affected by mental illness, carers and the community.

This role was newly established by RSL-SA in 2013. It required working closely with the CEO and Executive team of RSL-SA while working with a largely part-time team in a change-management environment. The key objectives were to position the brand (and sub-brands) and profile of the organisation for a sustainable future. This included:* the development of new strategic communication channels and partnerships across all sectors: industry; business; government, military and broad community* the introduction of a fresher and more dynamic approach to fundraising, providing new opportunities for major Appeals and for individual donor support leading to increased funds raised* events management, inclusive of commemorative events and activities delivered through the broader team* Building individual and team capabilities and competencies.

My role was responsible for the operational management of Development and Alumni activities, leading a team of five professionals in fulfilling the University’s alumni and engagement strategies. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, I was responsible for developing the team strategic and operation plan in alignment with the overall Marketing and Communication Strategic Plan and that of the overarching University Strategic Plan.This leadership role involved me working across the University’s Faculties, Schools and other Units to develop programs to engage the University’s wider community including: alumni and retired staff; industry, business and community organisation to provide varied opportunities for stakeholders to contribute to and benefit the University.Key areas of responsibilityReporting to the Director, Marketing and CommunicationsResponsibilities included:* Team leadership and resource management; including implementation of individual performance plans and appraisals*Identification of key prospects for supporting the University philanthropically, including major gifts and bequests (through Research Officer)* Develop and implement a program of activities to connect with and build relationships with alumni and the wider community* Conduct fundraising campaigns* Ensure a program of activities to steward and thank donors: individual and corporate* Ensure regular communication with alumni (55,000+) through quarterly e.newsletters; website; and social media* Liaison with Faculties, Schools and Units re opportunities to connect with their individual alumni and also participate in planned activities and work towards the development of new programs.

Also held national role of Director, Corporate Social Responsibilty from 2003-2006 in relation to establishment of The Deloitte Foundation
