• Monitoring outgoing material to ensure quality compliance, managing administration for the Certificates of Conformance and compiling documentation for customer submission • Conducting investigations using quality tools including 8D and 5Y, including investigating internal and external non-conformances and customer complaints. • Establishing, implementing and monitoring Quality systems across the company’s UK sites• Conducting inspections and collating data on non-conformances, and reporting statistics at Board level• Developing a thorough understanding of ISO:9001 and applying industry best practices (Six Sigma)• Preventing product failures by reporting quality problems at all stages to stop failures and non-conformances before product roll out, also ensuring safety aspects have been taken into account• Mitigating product or service failures by unearthing and highlighting the possible route cause of failures and incidents• Supporting both internal and external customers by responding promptly to specific quality questions and providing specialist technical advice• Managing and coordinating project quality assurance programmes in engineering, including FMEA and control plans• Performing supplier and subcontractor qualification surveys and audits from Achilles, and facilitating audits by certification bodies including BSI for ISO: 9001, ISO: 14001, ISO:18001• Reviewing quality procedures and manuals developed by other departments, and making recommendations on improvements• Contributing significantly to product design and product design safety, as well as driving cost reduction and product performance optimisation projects• Ensuring consistent compliance with EU directives and planning testing with notified bodies (including TUV and TRaC) for new products, including EMC testing, LVD and machinery safety analysis

• Project managing the design and development of low energy air conditioning products, including the design of heat exchangers and cooling systems• Communicating effectively with customers both in the UK and abroad to arrange trials, inform them of progress and ensure that their requirements were achieved• Overseeing cooling system trials in Egypt, Germany, Holland, Portugal, Poland and the UK, using diplomacy and quick thinking to effectively resolve any problems and issues arising• Providing strong leadership and management to small teams, including providing training and supporting staff in meeting deadlines• Installing products in line with health and safety guidelines
