Landscape Planner
Current• Liaise and provide direction to developers on open space and landscaping in new subdivisionsin accordance with Council’s standards, policies and strategies under the supervision of theLandscape Planning Team Leader.• Assess plan of subdivision applications in relation to open space and landscape outcomes andissue certification on the plans.• Provide advice to the Planning Department on landscape submissions in support of planningpermit applications including the provision of permit conditions.• Undertake assessment and approval of landscape proposals from developers in coordinationwith relevant internal departments including the provision of permit conditions pertaining to openspace and landscape outcomes.• Ensure open spaces and streetscapes are constructed in accordance with the approvedlandscape plans through regular monitoring of site works and liaison with developers.• Attend site meetings and negotiate variations to endorsed plans.• Prepare and administer fee invoices, negotiate and coordinate bond and maintenanceagreements and issue relevant certificates and compliances to the Statutory Planning Team.• Apply specialist design skills, knowledge and experience to the development and delivery ofopen space, streetscape and landscaping projects.• Ensure accurate records are maintained in relation to new assets ‘gifted’ to Council throughdevelopment activity by tracking the landscape planning processes and timing of handover ofthese assets to Council.• Provide direction to Administration staff on tasks as they relate to the landscape planningprocesses
