As the Executive Director of Sharp Circle Inc., my journey is rooted in a profound personal transformation. In 2006, I made a series of choices that resulted in a sentence of over 65 years in prison. During my incarceration, I embarked on a challenging and deeply introspective journey to understand and rectify the destructive choices I made. This transformative process, though not mandated by the justice system, was pivotal in my personal growth. Along the way, I facilitated programs and contributed to the creation of others, gaining invaluable experience and insights.Throughout my time in prison, I had the privilege of being mentored by individuals who shared their hard-earned wisdom with me. Their guidance, coupled with my relentless pursuit of education, enabled me to earn multiple degrees and certifications, all while cultivating a transformed mindset. After serving 15 years, I was recognized by the state of California as a reformed individual and an asset to the community.Upon my release, I committed myself to leveraging my experiences to make a positive impact. Sharp Circle Inc. embodies this commitment. Our mentorship organization is dedicated to empowering individuals through innovative programs designed to foster personal, social, occupational, and financial growth. Central to our mission is the Life Ownership Program, an innovative initiative that stands out for its holistic approach to mentorship. This program surrounds mentees with mentors who have shared life experiences and have undergone significant transformations themselves. Through a personalized approach, we assess individual goals and provide tailored coaching, investment, experiences, and connections to help mentees achieve their ideal vision.Our method is grounded in the belief that true change comes from within, supported by a community of dedicated mentors. By focusing on emotional regulation, boundary setting, and reentry planning, we equip our mentees with the tools they need to navigate life's challenges and thrive.
