Technical Support & Sales Manager
Quality Engineer
I provide hands on leadership to improve, implement and sustain the quality program at Sage. I am responsible for developing and implementing the quality system in Sage's high volume manufacturing facility as well as maintaining existing quality protocols. I manage all aspects of the quality program including ensuring compliance to industry standards and managing certification programs. Again, this role is hands on and I not only develop the systems but will ultimately build a group of technical personnel to ensure the programs are sustained.
Continuous Improvement Specialist / Process Engineer
My main areas of responsibility as a process engineer at Sage were to develop and mature manufacturing processes at our CP1 facility and our new High Volume Manufacturing facility. These responsibilities included performing capability studies on equipment, implementing SPC controls, creating SOP's for process technicians and other engineers, leading engineering projects, developing process control plans, troubleshooting equipment issues, developing LOTO procedures, creating customer specifications as well as mentoring and coaching new employees in the organization. I was also the backup Frit Dispense Engineer as well as the backup Laser Process Engineer at Sage.Below is an example of what my manager had to say about me;"Chris is a very passionate and dedicated employee. He takes pride in all that he does and truly wants his team, and Sage as a whole, to be successful. Chris is an excellent problem solver who is also a team player. He is also a good communicator who is not afraid to share his experiences and thoughts with others. His mechanical background and experience at Sage is outstanding andcontributes to the front end team each and every day.Chris' area of responsibility has increased and he has done a fantastic job of putting his personal high level of expectations into each new area. This has led to great improvements and results. Through the various challenges that were thrown his way, Chris did whatever it took to get the job done to his usual high standards. He is extremely responsible and an asset to the front end team, and to Sage. The bottom line is when Chris is assigned to a task or project, I have little doubt that it will be resolved/addressed and/or executed at a high performance level. This is what heexpects from himself and he rarely does he not deliver."

As a full time Six Sigma Black Belt I was involved with helping the company achieve its planned project savings. It was my responsibility to support the development of the lean sigma department thru culture change, project work, education, training programs, mentoring, communications, and metric development. Being a Diversity Council and Safety Committee member were also areas of commitment. I also developed and managed the company communications newsletter and implemented multiple language formats for formal meetings. I provided quality leadership in the six sigma dept. Assisted management in leading high-impact improvement projects. Ensured that the highest prioritized projects are being worked on and completed in a timely manner. Assisted on other six sigma projects being worked. Developed formal Green Belt group meets to aid and mentor those projects. Completed black belt projects utilizing Six Sigma/Lean methodologies to support the companies goals of achieve the required savings. Supported the overall business strategy of Tru-Vue, as well as Apogee Enterprises thru the development of the six-sigma department.
