The Linen Quarter BID was launched in February 2018. It represents 400 business South of City Hall, including iconic locations such as the Ulster Hall, Ormeau Baths, BBC, Grand Opera House, and the Grand Central Hotel.The BID is a not-for-profit business organisation, which has been established on a statutory basis. As part of this statutory role the BID collects annual levies from its members. This funding is invested back into the district with projects to improve safety; promote sustainability; encourage regeneration; and enhance the vibrancy of the area.

Connecting People in the Contested City. An investigation into the link between urban form and social Inclusion.

Belfast Healthy Cities is part of the World Health Organization Healthy Cities Network, and our aim is to make Belfast a more healthy, equitable and sustainable city. We promote innovation, collaborative action and policies for better health and wellbeing for everyone.We work with central government and local councils, elected representatives and community leaders, local stakeholders and organisations from across the city and beyond. We also share learnings and best practice with other Healthy Cities around the world as we seek to achieve our goals.

Coordination of postgraduate Planning modules and related teaching duties for student groups varying from 10 to 20 students. These duties include: provision of lectures and workshops; leading design critic sessions; supervision and critical reflection on student’s work; assessment of student's work, e.g. design drawings, essays and reports.

The research project "Planning for spatial reconciliation" is ultimately targeted towards building institutional capacity among key stakeholders in planning and regeneration to: (a) empower them to address more innovatively and effectively the issues of division and reconciliation relating to the sectarian geographies of the spatially segregated society that endures in Belfast;and (b) appreciate the potential of new approaches such as spatial and community planning for proactive and civically-inclusive forms of peace-building.

The foundation “Voluntary Childaid” focuses on improving education for woman and children in Ghana. In addition the organization directs voluntary work projects through its internship and volunteer program:• helpdesk activities for potential participants;• planning, organization and managing of information gatherings for potential participants;• providing support during volunteers’ stay in Ghana.

The urban planning department Amsterdam constantly monitors and analyses the city for existing and emerging spatial problems and attempts to develop strategies and spatial models for encountering these problems. The department hereby collaborates with several minor and major administrative institutions in the Netherlands, such as Amsterdam city boroughs as well as provincial and national departments, but also with private parties such as contractor and property owners. As an intern, I contributed through a range of work activities:• developing an urban plan for future spatial developments in the vicinity of metro link station Holendrecht, Amsterdam;• analysing and developing allotment schemes and housing typologies;• designing urban sections;• detecting possible material and vegetations uses and studying their impact on urban atmosphere;• liaising with key stakeholders, such as hospital board, contractor companies, city borough and property owners through meetings and presentations.
