Qualify and process both non-prior service and prior service applicants for the Utah Army National Guard (UTARNG). Provide informative and interactive presentations at local high schools and civic events about opportunities and benefits of the UTARNG. Encourage current members of the Guard to continue their service by discussing career paths, incentives, and benefits.

Served two deployments; one to Bosnia and one to Afghanistan. Guided, counseled, and mentored junior Human Intelligence Collectors to be motivated and highly effective in the conduct of their duties. Lead a four-man sub-team on source meetings and local-national governmental liaison meetings. Devised and analyzed meeting plans for productive and efficient intelligence collection. Conducted bi-weekly mission planning and daily mission plan updates with other sub-teams. Resolved stressful interpersonal and work-related problems among team members in tactical and non-tactical settings. Coordinated with the Operational Management Team in order to receive updated intelligence requirements, improve collection productivity, and deconflict source operations. Directed, briefed, and debriefed local national and contract interpreters daily. Determined the necessity for urgent action regarding routine correspondence with supervisors and subordinates via email. Performed daily personnel and equipment accountability, wrote daily accountability reports, and produced various intelligence reports. Employed conference/discussion, demonstration, and adult learning methods to instruct, supervise, and counsel students in methods of elicitation of information, military source operations, interrogation, and writing of various intelligence reports in both classroom and field environments. Applied experiential learning principles best suited to each lesson and the learning styles of the students. Created and maintained Excel spreadsheets to enter, track, and report critical course related information. Prepared practical exercises and handouts for students. Integrated courseware updates and relevant videos to further develop and enhance the lesson plans. Resolved stressful interpersonal and work-related problems among the student body. Regularly performed After-Action Reviews with the student body of each iteration of the course in an effort to discern shortcomings and develop practical improvements to the course. Researched, designed, and developed an instructor guide for new instructors for use by the Regiment.
