Provide unit-tailored training, consultation and advisory support in requesting and employing all intelligence capabilities. Assists with assessments of intelligence processes and capabilities. Support US Army Training Centers in the development of training and doctrine. Support units in improving use of intelligence assets, staff communication and integration processes, understanding and executing Theater Collection Planning and Requirements processes, and effective all-source intelligence integration. Routinely interface with Service, DoD, and special organizations senior leadership. Assist units in articulating requirements for collection using Joint, Theater, and Coalition intelligence capabilities, architecture, and collection management process. Train units on processes to request intelligence support, monitor/track status, negotiate dynamic changes and interact with control nodes and Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) organizations. Trains units on capabilities, processes, and products associated with assets in the combat theaters. Develop training materials for deployed units which includes the latest threat based on emerging threats and other intelligence disciplines. Provide intelligence research insights with a thorough understanding of lessons learned, best practices, vignettes, and after action reports that address synchronization and integration in current operating environments.

 Mentored over 30 personnel in multiple sections to include operations, administration, automation, logistics, marketing and budget management for the Iowa Recruiting and Retention Battalion.  Provided oversight for all staff sections in the organization including 120 employees and over 1,000 new recruits. Conducted investigations into sexual harrassment, recruiter improprieties and unlawful use of government property Served as the Deputy Commander of the organization; managed all staff administrative actions, medical readiness and training requirements including the annual budget and human resources support. Assigned as the facility Garrison Commander for the largest facility in the Iowa National Guard to include physical security, key control, energy conservation and space allocations.  Conducted program oversight for six Recruit Sustainment Companies disbursed across the State of Iowa; ensures compliance with Army Regulations, National Guard Bureau and the State of Iowa policies.  Administered an annual budget of $2.7M; approval authority for all budget items, purchases, contracts and marketing.  Trained subordinates in day to day operations, plans and schedules daily operations, implements logistical plans and administers security measures of the organization. Member of multiple Working Groups; Safety, Diversity and Installation group and future Plans Steering Committee.

 Evaluated, integrated, coordinated and synchronized intelligence information to provide, collection, analysis, and reporting in support of domestic operations. Advised Senior Leadership on intelligence, intelligence oversight, and Incident Awareness and Assessment policy and programs; assisted in developing policies for intelligence activities.  Provided oversite of Military Intelligence assets, equipment and personnel across the state for 149 personnel. Developed operational plans for the Iowa National Guard to enable joint response to State and Federal emergencies.  Identified potential flood locations and infrastructure to focus on protecting in the event of a man-made or natural disaster; created packets containing key demographics and infrastructure to be used during emergencies. Supported Vigilant Guard (Civil / Military) response exercises and provides intelligence assessments and analysis; collaborated with numerous federal, state and local government and civilian agencies in disaster preparation and response. Researched, developed and authored Intelligence Operations documents for All Hazards, Pandemic Disease, Foreign Animal Disease, Civil Disturbance, Chemical Attack/Spill, Cyber Attack, Spring Hazards and Winter Storms Plans.  Created program to provide intelligence oversight to insure that personnel are in compliance with Federal laws not to collect or retain information on US persons in order to protect their constitutional rights.

 Managed and led operations of a Service and Support organization to include strength management; safety; personnel management; intelligence and security; operations and training; logistics and maintenance. Mentored 79 Soldier and accountable for welfare through strict standards, careful risk assessment and safety awareness; attained and maintained the highest level of readiness consistent with the level of resourcing provided.  Developed an outside the box training program for a logistical unit to meet State objectives ensuring the Company was reset after returning from deployment and prepared for future State and Federal missions. Supervised property accountability and serviceability of over $11M of government property; maintained 100% of all equipment and ensured equipment was maintained and operational on a monthly basis. Ensured all Soldiers were trained in safety and professional areas to include, sexual assault and harassment, ethics, personal well being and safety.

 Performed multi-disciplined intelligence collection management and coordination of surveillance activities, advised leadership on the use and employment of resources; coordinated and managed intelligence assets.  Advised the Battalion Commander, Operations Officer and Support Operations Officer on all Intelligence aspects of missions; coordinated, developed and managed the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Plans.  Developed, trained and managed the Company Intelligence Support Team; led team of 3 Soldiers updating and informing the Commander with all current intelligence events in the area of operations. Member of the Bagram Security Zone Working Group; developed badging and clearance procedures for local nationals working on base to ensure they were properly vetted before being allowed access.  Collaborated with DoD Agencies and military organizations (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines) coordinating the use of intelligence assets; planned and executed intelligence gathering operations in support of ongoing requirements.

 Managed 17 personnel staff handling all operations and training for the Iowa Recruiting and Retention command.  Implemented process improvement techniques to improve National Guard Bureau metrics for the state to an 84.7% candidate recruit shipping rate and a shipper quality control rate of 98.8%.  Developed, implemented and executed monthly reception events for Soldiers returning from basic and advanced military training; coordinated with Leadership, medical and logistical sections to welcome and prepare Soldiers for integration. Authored Standing Operation Procedures for six Recruit Sustainment Companies to ensure new recruits received standardized training across the state; ranked top 10 in the nation with a 25% honor graduate rate at basic training.  Devised and executed annual training guidance for the organization; ensured required training was resourced, scheduled, conducted and documented. Reviewed documents pertaining to allegations against recruiters in regards to sexual harrassment and improper conduct to ensure process was done according to regulations and policies.

 Established and directed family readiness training across the state to assist family members with understanding the military and assist families cope during deployment.  Administered budget for three Federally Appropriated Accounts equaling almost $1M, donated and State Funds that resulted in an annual increase every year due to quality control and proper execution of funds.  Implemented all contract programs including contracts for facilities, services and contracts for contracted employees contracts; collaborated with the State and Federal fiscal offices as well as vendors and personnel contract companies.  Created and conducted the implementation of a Youth Camp in Iowa for the first time that resulted in 150 youth attending a 3-day event fostering team building, military family education and resiliency skills. Organized and directed 10 Enduring Families Events, 5 Strong Bonds Events, an Annual State and National Conference, Staff Professional Development Training, and numerous Soldier Readiness Events on an annual basis.

 Produced, monitored, and supervised operational briefs for over 390 significant activities; communicated events to higher headquarters and operational personnel to ensure safety of U.S. Forces operating in the area.  Served as the Deputy Mayor of the operations base responsible for security, logistics, wellbeing, and safety; supervised 22 individuals and managed base detention operations for all of the organizations detainments. Co-chaired Operations and Intelligence Committee with U.S. Marines in order to collaborate information sharing and ensure the safety of all U.S. Forces and civilians in an austere environment.
