Chris Kovach joined IQ-EQ in 2021. He provides outsourced CFO services including financial statement reviews, accounting, business strategy, and treasury operations for crypto asset, hedge, private equity, and venture capital fund managers. Chris served as Senior Manager at KPMG LLP, Walnut Creek, California from 2014 to 2020. He managed financial statement audits for hedge, private equity and venture capital funds. Chris served as national instructor for KPMG. He also served in the Independence Group monitoring services provided to audit clients to comply with SEC Independence rules.Chris was Manager then Senior Manager at Rothstein Kass from 2003 to 2014. He performed concurring reviews for and managed financial statement audits for hedge, private equity, real estate and venture capital funds and commercial services companies. He advised on U.S. generally accepted accounting principles, and fair value for hard-to-value investments to firm professionals and external clients. Chris served as national instructor for Rothstein Kass.Chris is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Accounting from San Francisco State University. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Beta Gamma Sigma.
