Served as part time TFO. Responsible for utilizing the computer aided dispatch, Wescam MX10 FLIR camera, law enforcement communications radios. Utilized the FLIR to search for missing persons, fleeing suspects, pursuits, suspicious persons and vehicles, provide overwatch on traffic stops and calls for service. Acted as crew chief for long line operations.

Assigned as full time Sergeant in Special Operations over the Mounted Patrol Unit. Patrolled on horseback, trained personnel and horses. Coordinated special events within the county as well as around the State of Florida. Also was called upon to supervise to K9, Marine Patrol, Agriculture Unit and Reserves.

Patrolled Sarasota County on horseback. Patrolled neighborhoods, parks, beaches, business districts and special events, traffic details and radar enforcement. Full service mounted unit providing law enforcement through intelligence led policing by utilizing computers on horseback to complete FI’s, issue citations, computer aided dispatch, computerized reports, notices to appears, probable cause affidavits, driver license verifications and crash reports. Developed the Unit’s Standard Operating Procedures, training program and trained all the mounted deputies; selected and trained unit horses.

Patrolling the unincorporated areas of Sarasota County, responding for calls for service, crashes, proactive enforcement, traffic enforcement. Field Training Officer for 10 years training new recruits for Patrol.

Worked as military police USAF. Deployed to Honduras for 6 months as joint task force bravo. Deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm for 9 months.
