About Chris Lawer

Hi, I develop non-consensus thinking, concepts, frameworks and technologies relating to lived or real experience, health/illness, value and co-creation. These generate deeper understanding of the origins, content, conditions and lived realities of concrete experience, and support the discovery and design of more impactful offerings and interventions. OOEX (Ooex.co)I founded Ooex in 2024. My and my co-founder’s personal interactions with thousands of people with chronic conditions drives our mission to liberate millions of stuck lives. The Ooex platform reveals the everyday lived experience of chronic conditions, limiting circumstances and challenging environments to power human creativity, care and wellbeing. Using the app, people gain better self-knowledge of their personal lived experiences, can better express their struggles and challenges, obtain ideas and inspiration from peers, and participate in a self-learning process that helps them progress on their lived journey. And via a simple SaaS web application, enterprises of diverse kinds can host their own communities for a focal context of stuck lives, gain deeper insight into their real lived experiences, and create content and support that is more relevant, engaging and impactful. .Our prototype, developed with UK armed forces veterans, received funding from the Office for Veterans’ Affairs in the UK government.Reach out to us for an investment pack, to schedule a demo, or to discuss how our technologies will benefit your enterprise.UMIO (Umio.io)I also founded Umio, providing my Health Ecosystem Value Design (HEVD) framework and method. This helps enterprises to expand their knowledge and impact in any context of health, disease or wellbeing, anywhere.I’ve an MPhil from Cranfield School of Management and occasionally teach the Umio HEVD framework to Masters architecture and health students at NYIT SOAD. Our current semester project is focused on Urban Heat Islands through the lens of their real lived experience. My books Interactional Creation of Health and Health Ecosystem Value Design introduce my thinking, framework and methods. These are available on Amazon. I am also a film-maker and music-creator, publishing my tunes on all platforms as Whitsand (see Whitsand.com).
