Broom Boats is a manufacturer of hire fleet and private leisure craft. The production process encompasses virtually every engineering discipline including; moulding, laminating, woodworking, electrical installation, welding and fabrication, machining, fitting, upholstery, spray painting, scaffolding and cleaning. I am responsible for all health safety and environmental issues at the site and the development of a positive safety culture.

Solihull

Working a fixed term contract to provide CDM H&S advice and management on a Water Utilities project which involved large site SCADA upgrade implementation. Duties included drafting the Design Risk Assessment, H&S Construction phase plan, all RAMS/SSOW, Incident reporting, CSM H&S File preparation and O&M manuals.I also undertook SHE audits of Principal Contractors management systems on behalf of Thames Water Utilities. Contracted until 14th July 2015.

Assembled Project teams, prepared tenders/bids, conducted due diligence risk analysis, prepared/negotiated contracts for Director level sign off. Undertook management of larger enclosure and server rack cooling and turnkey projects together with industry specific projects in Rail, Underground, the Olympics and Nuclear licensed establishments. Also responsible for preparing all H&S documentation for our 3 premises across the UK and for all CDM and non CDM projects at customer premises/site e.g. developing SSOW, risk assessments and method statements and providing onsite toolbox talks, accident investigation and analysis.

Harlow

Was responsible for developing business with key accounts for bespoke metal fabrications primarily in the computing, telecommunications and instrument manufacturing sectors. Customers included Hewlett Packard, Pitney Bowes, Eltek, Marconi among others. Prepared quotations using estimating software and negotiated contractual terms and conditions. Was involved in a radical change to our business when I secured a £960,000 order to make 400 floor standing telecoms enclosures a month which was the largest product we manufactured at the facility. Prior to this the fabrication we did was generally small lasered or pressed parts.

Gravesend

My role was to introduce our product range of plastic PCB and wiring accessories to the computing, automotive home entertainment, electrical and electronic equipment markets with a strategic focus of developing unique solutions and obtaining design in status for our products against stiff competition from the far east. Also responsible for selecting channel partners and distribution strategy for my area. Customers included RS Components, Rank Xerox, Marshall Amps, Marconi, Heatrae Sadia, Ford, Rover Group, Aston Martin,Lotus Cars and BT among others. During the course of my employment I consistently gained the most new customers for new product introductions.
