I am a senior software engineer with over 20 years experience (now a Software Development Manager). I have been working on next generation serverless platforms, coded in Typescript and deployed on AWS. Every member of the team is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the platform solutions we deliver, as well as providing SDKs for web and mobile platforms. I was primarily involved with implementing the back end of the solution, written in Java 1.7 and associated technologies such as Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate / JPA, JMS(ActiveMQ), Zookeeper, Mockito, TestNG. The services are exposed via REST and the solution uses a MySQL database. Database scripts are executed via Liquibase.The team uses Jira to manage sprints, tasks and track progress. Many other Atlassian products are used in the project, such as Bamboo for continuous integration, Clover for coverage, HipChat to notify of build results and when code is merged using Stash for GIT. All documentation is produced using Confluence. -

Other technologies used include Java 1.6/1.7, Spring, Spring MVC, Maven, Apache CXF, JAXB, SOAP, JPA, Jetty, JUnit ,Mockito. Elumina - CorporateA large, complex and highly configurable J2EE application used to perform travel bookings, manage profiles and record financial transactions. This application supports all Flight Centre Corporate travel in Australia and New Zealand. The application was developed using technologies such as Spring, EJB, Struts, Hibernate, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, HTML and various tag libraries. -
