Develop features and bug fixes for an Android GIS application, Mappt. Highlights for this project include adding support for Hexagon's ECW, compact cache bundles from ESRI ArcServer and our own Rippt format allowing users to import their own satellite imagery.Designed and developed a standalone desktop application called Rippt that tiles custom satellite imagery and added one-click support for these tile bundles into Mappt. The biggest technical challenge is the immense size of the imagery (Gigabytes at a minimum).Various web development duties including new websites, changes to existing websites, a payment portal for generating invoices and paying to PayPal.

Soar is a distributed platform for drone content with the ambition of becoming the internets standard place to acquire and monetising drone data. Built on the Blockchain, Soar offers a trustless and distributed marketplace backed by authenticity and accountability.As Head Systems Scientist my role is massively varied and is dedicated to driving the technical needs of the organisation. One day I might be writing the white paper and meeting with smart contract auditors. The next day I will be traveling to conferences to roadshow the platform, all the while taking a front line role in the development and project management.

Mappt Elements is an iOS application for collecting spatial information. Evolved from it's big brother, Mappt it offers a simple and powerful interface for collecting information about our world through a smart and configurable form builder. The map is fully customisable with layers (or elements) available for free or via subscription.I am particularly proud of the software architecture of this application. Powerful, low level GIS and mapping libraries such as WhirlyGlobe, Spatialite and GDAL are embedded in the application core and work seamlessly with the usual Swift and Cocoa layers on top. The project architecture is consistent and flexible, allowing for the quick addition of new Raster and Vector data types such as GeoPDF's and Shapefiles.

My Pet Stay is a disruptive startup that connects Pet owners with Hosts. Earn money by housing pets while their owners are on holiday or search for reliable hosts in your area.My role as the sole developer on the team is to design, plan, implement and test the web site in it's entirety. I elected to use Ruby on Rails and bootstrap to continuously deploy through Heroku. My focus is on the rapid development of a solid foundation for the product that is both future proof and heavily tested.

Kojai is a location based social media app for iOS. Put your moments on the map.My role was to take an immature prototype and bring out it's potential. This involved bug fixes, major refactors, adding a great number of features and managing a team of testers through TestFlight. With more feature requests than available resources a large part of my project management duties involved prioritisation.Kojai is written in Objective-C with a PHP/MongoDB backend hosted on AWS.In November 2014 our team was invited to attend the Web Summit in Dublin where we showcased Kojai in the startup category to a strong reception.
