A comprehensive geological competencies checklist was created to streamline development and training for the pit geologists, Each checklist item was supported with video documentation and linked site resources for each item. The more experienced geologists on each crew would train the new geologists and be accountable for the success and development of each competency. The result would be reviewed by me, inducing a routine of refreshers and feedback for new and experienced geologists alike.
