Western Pacific is the manufacture of structural steel products. I was manager of the engineering department. I provided sales support and quotations for customers from plant layouts that utilized cube space. I preformed new product design, steel calculations, cost analyses, and developed quoting software programs with Microsoft Excel and Access. My projects varied in scale from small mechanical components, for example, die and tools through large structural engineering schemes, such as mezzanines and catwalks. I directed multiple work teams in a high volume production and distribution environment. I had to be experienced in lean production, kaizen/continuous improvement, and root cause/countermeasure investigation of equivalent disciplines.
