Transferred into the ANZO Server team, servicing Australia, NZ, Pacific and Asia sites. We were responsible for over 5900 virtual machines (Windows, Linux, Appliances) and over 530 ESX hosts spanning those regions.Collaborated with European and American based server teams within QBE on various tasks such as global SOE development and automated server builds using Urban Code.Worked with technology teams both in house (QBE) and outsourced (Accenture, Cognizant) to ensure delivery of projects in required time frames and in budget, including but not limited to server builds and application configuration when technology teams didn't have the required skill sets.Participated in major incident processes when required, providing solutions and troubleshooting analysis to resolve priority 1 and 2 cases.Worked with external contractors for off-site installations of server infrastructure and performing office upgrades. Providing remote support to offshore QBE teams for NZ network upgrades / physical replacements country wide.Performed vulnerability remediation ensuring no outages as the result and working alongside technology teams to ensure their applications met the required standards set out by senior leadership.Handled server, application and infrastructure migrations to newer versions and/or platforms.Responsible for BAU activities such as but not limited to• Monitoring of server infrastructure using Dynatrace, VROPS, SCOM• Uplifts of environments• Queue management within ServiceNow• Change management
