Chris Marcell began in social services as an administrator during the '90s in a day shelter for the homeless. In Mississippi since 2000, he has provided peer support in mental health, behavioral health, recovery, and addictions through affiliations with Mental Health America, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and 12-Steps. He graduated in the Class of 2020 master of social work from The University of Southern Mississippi. Chris now works full-time as an intensive outpatient addictions therapist with Singing River Services in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
