Hello! I am Chris Markwart, a Reservoir Engineering Specialist with a wealth of experience in the Oil and Gas sector. I specialize in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Carbon Capture Storage and Utilization (CCUS) projects, applying my technical skills and creativity to develop and implement sustainable and innovative solutions for the energy industry.I am a founding member of the Enhance Energy Team, where we have launched groundbreaking CO2 EOR and CCUS projects in Canada, such as the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL), the Clive CO2 flood, and the Origins Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Project. These projects demonstrate our leadership and commitment to addressing environmental challenges while enhancing oil recovery and reducing CO2 emissions. In my previous roles, I was instrumental in increasing oil reserves by hundreds of millions of barrels through the application of cutting-edge EOR methods in technically challenging oil reservoirs, such as CO2 flooding of highly fractured carbonate reservoirs and polymer flooding of unconsolidated heavy oil reservoirs. I am passionate about advancing the frontiers of EOR and CCUS technologies and contributing to the global energy transition.

  As one of the founding members of the Enhance Energy Team, I've been integral in propelling groundbreaking CO2 EOR and CCUS projects in Canada. Notably, our team developed pioneering projects like the Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL) and the Clive CO2 flood, showcasing our commitment to implementing and advancing sustainable energy solutions on a global scale.Our current development of the Origins CCS Project further underscores our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. These projects collectively highlight our proactive approach to addressing environmental concerns while contributing positively to the energy sector. The successful integration of technology and sustainability has been instrumental in advancing these impactful initiatives.Currently, I hold responsibilities for Reservoir Management of the Clive CO2 flood, the Clive MMV program, Corporate Reserve Evaluations, and Reservoir Management of the Mantario S Pool Polymer Flood and other Enhance properties. Additionally, I'm responsible for managing governmental reporting requirements and delivering annual presentations for these crucial projects.My responsibilities have also included Screening, modelling, forecasting and economic evaluation of EOR potential in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin focusing on miscible CO2 and CCUS development opportunities, the application of polymer and surfactant systems, the evaluation of acquisition and divestiture (A&D) opportunities, expansion of the Clive D-3A and Clive D-2A Unit Agreements, Tertiary EOR development design and economics, MMV design, CO2 pipeline tolling models, company economic models and joint venture opportunities in support of the ACTL (Alberta Carbon Trunk line) project.
