CurrentData Centre Engineer Role includesSupport of all Hardware in the Acxiom UK Data Centre, This includes troubleshooting any issue on all servers/routers/disk arrays and storage. Working with support teams on a global level to resolve issues affecting production and staging environments. This has given me an excellent background in server support and a good working knowledge of new cutting edge designs and specifications as well as legacy support of older kit still in production.Installation of all hardware into the Acxiom UK Data Centres. This includes all power requirements/cabling requirement/physical cabs and equipment.Grid Environment Support - Red Hat Administration, this includes building releasing and adding to a service of all Nodes in this environment. From RHEL 3 to RHEL 6 currently.VMWARE support - Microsoft Windows VM creation within the production environment and staging. All windows 2008 and 2012 are configured and built.CISCO UCS Blade and chassis support. This includes building all Cisco M3/M4 blades to a specific hardware configuration to fit the environment we have.HP C7000 Blade enclosure and blade support. Installation and configuration of blades/ blade profiles and VC connect profiles for the provisioning of HP B Series Blades.IBM N Series Storage Support for N6040 and N3600 - this includes hardware and disk administration.User administration on several platforms include RHEL server, AD accounts and specific in house software.
