Some of my daily tasks included assisting customers, helping them select the perfect color and product for their projects, and providing them with information on the different options available. One thing I did was mixing colors, whether it be as easy as mixing a standard color or as difficult as mixing and adjusting certain colors to ensure that the shade matches the customer's preference. I also help provide my knowledge on certain materials to ensure that the customer gets the proper tools for the right job. One of the more physical aspects of this job I did was managing inventory. I kept track of stock levels and made displays look organized, and stocked. An important part this job was safety which included checking for potential hazards and ensuring customers safety. Providing excellent customer service is at the core of what I do, as I aim to address any questions or concerns customers may have while ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.

During my time with UPS, I was in-charge of a main conveyor belt that connects to 5 doors. I would sort through hundreds of packages making sure they went through the correct door. In this position I had to be quick and accurate with placements and fully be engaged during the work day. Additional responsibilities would be loading UPS trucks where I would have to organize it the best way sorting boxes by stops. It was a good job that prepared me to not only be strong physically but also mentally due to the amount of engagement and organization.

This job was an introduction for me to interact with people as customers, bringing a real understanding of how to work in the service industry. Also being in the food industry I had to acquire my Food Handlers License to learn how to handle food while wearing the correct personal protective equipment. I became a shift lead where I was responsible for a small team of two to three people. The main responsibility as a shift supervisor was money handling skills, at the end of each shift I would reset the registers and verify daily finances. This job was important to me, it taught me to take on more responsibilities and manage a team.
