Technical lead for the Order Experience Financials Team. Goal of the team is to create a platform to manage all financials aspect of an order. These include customer actions like refunding when a resolution is complete (i.e. returning a purchase). Additionally charging for post-order actions like shipping cost for address changes and purchases of warranties or services.Other financial responisibilies being worked on are Wayfair accounting teams to support consumption of financial data (into the SAP system), presenting order financial data to customers and agents (i.e. invoicing), and tracking of financial transactions (i.e. credit card charges and refund processing). To achieve the above, working alongside multiple partner teams like Payment Processing, Finance and Accounting, and Customer Service to decouple systems, define domain boundaries, and to do discovery on what features stakeholders require.My responsibilities are to design and implement the new architecture for the platform alongside team to accomplish the goals above. Provide mentorship along way and work alongside our product partners on the best next steps in our journey.Systems built using mix of C#, SQL, NoSQL (Aerospike/Redis), Kafka, REST, and beginning to use GCP products like BigQuery for analytical purposes.
