• Implement Top Management Health and Safety Leadership program and enhance the safety culture in the company.• Roll out quarterly safety training calendar and oversee employees’ training needs.• Preparation of HSE Objectives and targets and driving towards achieving every set goal.• Implement HSE Management System, review HSE policies and procedures, Emergency Response Procedures (ERP) • Oversee Contractor Safety Management System (CSM) and improve contractor’s quality services.• Yearly budgeting to align with company reference as directed towards the department.• Liaise with relevant bodies such as Authorities, regulatory bodies, public bodies, and other parastatals/relevant bodies in consonance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.• Ensure periodic review of induction templates for visitors, contractors, and clients.• Plan and execute monthly safety walk-around with Top management and ensure timely close-out of observation.• Plans and participates in vendor-site environmental audits, monitoring and ensuring implementation of recommended improvement actions.• Carry out regular HSE audits and inspections to test the reliability of the company’s Health and safety Management System • Report and investigate all incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and follow up with necessary corrective measures.• Implement established best practices in areas of corporate, ethical, and social responsibility.
