I have dedicated the majority of my career to the plastics industry, specializing in Injection Moulding. Starting as an apprentice, I worked diligently to advance my way up to the role of operations manager, and eventually became a co-owner and director of the company. This experience allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge in project management, production management, procurement, human resources, and business development, enabling me to open new doors and explore new opportunities.In search of fresh challenges, I embraced a new business venture as the operations manager and co-owner of a heavy engineering business. Leveraging my previous skills and expertise, I successfully navigated the complexities of this industry, further expanding my professional skill set.Currently, I hold the esteemed position of board chair in one company, while also serving on the boards of two other companies. These roles have provided me with an enhanced perspective on strategic decision-making, corporate governance, and fostering organizational growth.In 2022, I had the privilege of being elected to the Waikouaiti Coast Community Board through the Local Government elections. This opportunity has allowed me to contribute to the betterment of the community while applying my private sector governance skills to local government initiatives.Overall, my journey has been defined by a continuous pursuit of personal and professional growth, exemplified by my ability to adapt to new industries, assume leadership roles, and make meaningful contributions to both the private sector and the community.
