High Performance Sport New Zealand's role is to enable and empower world class performance in an environment that values wellbeing. Its vision is inspiring performance every day, which it works to achieve in partnership with national sporting organisations, by delivering a high performance system that enables and empowers Kiwi athletes to excel on the world stage.As part of the Performance Partnerships business unit, I manage the HP Investment Team and hold responsibility for strategic investment advisory and the organization's growing investment maturity, as we enable the business to support New Zealand's athletes to be the best that they can be. This includes operationalizing the multi-million-dollar Targeted Investment Framework of sport campaign, pathways and wellbeing investment, athlete performance and tailored pathway support, and the Prime Minister's Scholarships (education) programme.

Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa is a kaitiaki (guardian) of the play, active recreation and sport system in Aotearoa New Zealand, with a vision of Every Body Active in its strategic direction 2020-32, and a portfolio of investment across strategic partnerships (national and regional), programmes (including Healthy Active Learning and He Oranga Poutama) and funds (including Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa and the Disability Inclusion Fund).As part of the Strategy, Policy and Investment business unit, I managed the Sector Investment Team, and held responsibility for strategic investment advisory and the organization's overall long-term Investment Maturity Journey, as we enabled the business to support the physical wellbeing of all New Zealanders. This included operationalizing the multi-million-dollar investment portfolio of partnerships, programmes and funds, across three workstream pillars - Investment Planning and Performance, Investment Management and Reporting, and Investment Sytems.

Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa is a kaitiaki (guardian) of the play, active recreation and sport system in Aotearoa New Zealand, with a vision of Every Body Active in its strategic direction 2020-32, and a portfolio of investment across strategic partnerships (national and regional), programmes and funds.As part of the Sector Investment team, I led the development and implementation of investment performance and reporting across the investment portfolio; and was the investment lead for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programme Investment including project managing the Disability Inclusion Fund.

World Rugby is the governing body for the sport of rugby, with a development remit "from regulation to inspiration". I led COVID-effected programme planning & budgeting for the High Performance (HP) Investment Programme, reorganising 2020 operations and devising 2021-24 strategy.

As part of World Rugby's strategy to "impact upon the competitiveness and sustainability of international rugby" for women and men, I managed global operations and a £15m annual budget, and aided strategy development for the High Performance Investment Programme. We invested in and serviced HP system and national team capacity and capability building for the national rugby federations of 15+ under-resourced countries, prioritising Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga plus Japan, Georgia and USA. This enabled their athletes to grow and their women's and men's teams to compete at Rugby World Cups (15s) & Olympic Games (rugby sevens). My work supported World Rugby’s movement towards equality through gender equality and international equity projects. I designed the programme strategic plan "HP Playbook 2016-20" (see attached) and contributed HP strategy to "Women in Rugby 2017-25".

As part of World Rugby vision to create "a sport for all, true to its values", I managed a key support function, enhancing the Development, High Performance, and Competitions global rugby investment programmes, by advising the three general managers of the programmes on strategy, operations, and a combined annual budget of +£30m, and prioritising diversity and inclusion projects for women in rugby and rugby in the Pacific Islands.

I grew the business support role of Management Accounting from its infancy into a programme of Game Investments (see above), structuring grants management operations for each of the Development, High Performance and Competitions grant programmes. I also contributed to the implementation of the inaugural global strategic plans for women's rugby 2011-16 and sevens rugby 2010-20.
