I was approached by the owners of The Woodman Inn to take over as General Manager following a change in ownership to Leslie Country Inns Ltd in November 2012. Throughout my time as General Manager, I have overseen large areas of refurbishment, including;Redevelopment of the ground floor country pubRestaurant & Function RoomAll accommodation including 9 additional rooms since 2012New drinks garden developed for outside diningNew event venue, Thunderbridge Gardens developed to cater for larger events up to 200 guests, including dining kitchen & 6 new hotel roomsThe business has undergone a full rebrand throughout my time here, with a strong focus on increasing sales across the board. I have spent large periods of time working alongside local businesses building relationships, creating over 40 corporate accounts which use The Woodman Inn on a regular basis for dining, entertaining clients & accommodation. I have used various methods when marketing and advertising for The Woodman Inn, with a strong focus on social media over the last 18 months. I have taken a keen interest in Google Adwords & Analytics which I have worked on for The Woodman to increase out visibility and online presence. The Woodman Inn has hosted a “Win a Wedding” competition with the local newspaper over the last 2 years which gives The Woodman over £20,000 in free advertising throughout the competition.Stronger management structure has been a large part of the success throughout my time. The Woodman Inn now has a dedicated Events Manager which was brought in and developed to drive the sales of the department forward. I have also promoted internal development in the business with a number of employees who started with us on a casual basis, now having management role.
