Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Human Resource Implementation Manager
I’ve been fortunate to build a career in HR with results that have scaled to the entire enterprise. In this role, my scope of duties has reached over 1.5M US employees and 4K+ stores. I manage enterprise scale projects to implement HR policy, procedure, and process changes across the US.At any given time, my team and I are involved in multiple, competing projects so my focus is to merge these project goals and timelines so leaders across the organization are aware of what is going on outside of their functions to ensure seamless processes and transitions. Because of my ability to connect the dots between multiple leaders and priorities, I’ve been able to save millions of dollars for the organization and eliminate unnecessary project extensions, staffing issues, and store remodels. Working in this challenging environment fuels my passion for organization design, problem solving, and collaboration. Some key improvements I’ve made in this role include: ❇️ Selecting pilot stores for implementation rollouts and then converting to nationwide adoption.❇️ Decreased time from interview to onboard from 3 weeks to only 4 days during the Covid-19 pandemic by overhauling the entire process.❇️ Saved over $1M in training and other costs during a revolving-door workforce.Key Skills: HR Management, Organizational Leadership, Operations Management, Process Improvement, Executive Leadership, Cross-functional Leadership, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, HR Advisory, Strategy & Innovation, Process Optimization, Policy & Procedure Development, Large-scale Implementation, HR Policy & Law, Recruiting, Hiring, Training & Development, Facilitation, Communication, Staffing & Workforce Planning, Issue Resolution, Strategic Planning, Change Management
Market Human Resources Manager
After diving into HR, I promoted back to the field as a Market HR Manager with a territory of up to 40 stores. I provided HR leadership to all store management that filtered down to thousands of store employees. I covered all aspects of HR Management and guidance including HR and company policy, regulations, employee relations, talent development, recruiting and hiring, engagement, and benefits and compensation. Key initiatives I brought forth in this role include:❇️ Increased talent selection and development to ensure a top-notch workforce and positive working environment. This resulted in a reduction of workforce exits by 236 associates and a decrease of turnover by 60% in just 12 months.❇️ Revamped the way we looked at turnover and terminations. Instead, I encouraged and tasked store leadership to look at the reason why employees were leaving so we could uncover future opportunities to reduce turnover. In this case, we would save 1 out of 4 people leaving.❇️ I was asked by executive leadership to become a “Cohort Leader” and was went to CA to train all new Market HR Managers. This included me working with our Academy to create the complete training curriculum through to delivery. My favorite part was making connections, mentoring individuals, and seeing where they went in their careers!Key Skills: HR Management, Executive Leadership, Stakeholder Management, Relationship Building, Employee Relations, Recruiting, Hiring, Training & Development, Conflict Resolution, Data Analytics, KPI/Goal Setting, Policy & Procedures, Retention, Organizational Culture, Program Development, Leadership, Communication, Talent Development, Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Process Improvement.

I managed and led all ethics investigations for a region of 400 of stores, usually with a case of 70-80 cases at a time, while working with senior leadership in the field and in the corporate office to determine processes, identify issues, and provide solutions. Some areas I am very proud of in this role include: ❇️ I built the entire policy and process for this role, which is still in use today. I created interview forms and scripts and how to navigate an investigation in-store or virtually. ❇️ Continuously facilitated conversations with divisional HR leadership to define the scope and responsibilities of this role.❇️ Maintained an average of only 19 days to close all investigations; the region has sustained this maintenance level based on the results I produced, and policies set in place.❇️ Led all projects and investigations with a supportive approach to employees, while using sound judgment and logic to provide well-founded outcomes.Key Skills: HR Management, Employment Law, Investigations, Leadership, Communication, Program Design, Policy & Procedure Development, Stakeholder Management, Executive Presentation, Open Door Policy, Labor Relations, Conflict Resolution, Issue Identification, Root Cause Analysis, Relationship Management, KPI/Goal Setting, Cross-functional Leadership, Strategic Planning

Since then, I’ve been with Walmart.I started as an Assistant Store Manager with a focus on backroom and fresh operations. I led a team of 6-8 department managers and together we excelled at providing customer service through fast, friendly, fresh standards. I then moved into a high-level Assistant Store Manager role to help build and open a brand new Neighborhood Market where I was intricately involved in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding store leaders, leading change management, and managing end-to-end operations.
