Writing code is something I could do practically in my sleep. Ever since I was a kid I have been exposed to computers and learned about how they work, as my father is just as much of a computer geek as I am. My passion for computer programming started when I began writing small modifications for the video game Minecraft at the age of 11. Seeing the code I wrote come to life inside of the game was invigorating, and I knew immediately that I wanted to pursue that as a career. My professional experience started when I joined a small startup company as a freshman in high school. There I was given the opportunity to work on a team of two other people my age writing software for embedded microcontrollers. Later, after my freshman year of college, I was hired as a summer intern at Northrop Grumman, and I would continue to work there for the next two summers after. Working at Northrop Grumman has given me invaluable professional experience, such as working on an Agile development team and immensely strengthening my problem solving and coding skills. After working in the defense industry as an intern, I am ready to take on the challenges of other industries as a professional software engineer.Skills and Interests: Java, C, Ada, Agile development, Scrum, Microsoft Visio, SELinux, Git, Atlassian Tools, Linux command line
