I was a high school band director in the Springfield Public Schools for 4 years, then continued my work in the city with the Community Music School of Springfield, helping coordinate teaching artists for our El Sistema based music program, focused on provided access to high quality and trauma informed music education to students of all ages in the city. I also worked as a teaching artist with the Adaptive Music Program, working in many different classroom settings, focusing on special education students. In the summers, for the last 10 years I've been a whitewater guide on the MIddle Fork of the Salmon River, a gem in the vast Idaho Wilderness.
