Troubleshoot, Repair, and Maintain Semiconductor Implant Machines

Experienced with Ultra High Vacuum Accelerator in the LCLS (Linac Coherent Light Source).Responsibilities: Facilitated vacuum operation of accelerator before, during, and after experiments in each of six experimental hutches. Duties included building chamber assemblies from drawings, moving chambers in and out of accelerator beam line, according to lift plan safety procedures. Leak checked accelerator beam line, chambers, valves and pumps. Work closely with scientists, engineers, and users to insure smooth operation of accelerator during time sensitive experiments.

Implanter experience with Eaton NV-10, Eaton 6200, Varian CF3000 and Axcelis MC3. Responsibilities include: Repair of downed implanters as problems arise. Scheduled and performed preventative maintenance. Tore down, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt assemblies for various machines. Used helium leak detectors to check for vacuum leaks before and after maintenance. Familiar with roughing pumps, diffusion pumps, turbo pumps and cryo pumps. Worked closely with equipment engineers to troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues. Utilized engineering instructions to work independently with little supervision. Member of the emergency response team.
