Supervision and organisation of a small team of electricians to undertaking rectification of defects and implementation of engineering changes, employed for the duration of the LHD 1 & LHD 2 Naval ship projects

12hr rotating shift workResponsible for the routine maintenance of all Taxiway & Runway lighting,High Mast lighting to the apron, Generator backup systems,Visual range indicator and all other electrical issues as required by Melbourne Control Tower to the satisfaction of the pilots.

As a member of a small engineering team my workload included but is not limited to the following: Processing and prioritizing work schedules, routine maintenance of plant and equipment, maintenance and upgrade of emergency lighting system, maintaining all manner of equipment to meet the needs of doctors, nursing staff and patience these include nurse call system failure, pager/dect phone programming, lighting needs and all other system breakdowns. Liaising with contractors, to ensure that all hospital needs are met along with strict OH&S guidelines. Ordering of materials, invoicing, record keeping. I took part in an on call system every 5 weeks that required me to be available 24hrs to take calls on any issues within the hospital and to organize the relevant trades/contractors to rectify the situation in a timely manner.
