Six weeks after starting I was promoted to Team Leader; being tasked with reporting MI to key stakeholders, designing and implementing new risk management processes and procedures as part of a new strategy towards risk management in Corporate Tax Compliance. This role also included managing and prioritising the work-load of the tax process team. As of November 2015, I relocated from Glasgow to Manchester to assist with the opening of a new office. This role has involved training a new growing team in the company systems & processes. In addition to working on several projects to maintain the risk management strategy and continuously improve the processes set in place.

Duties included preparation of Personal and Corporate Tax Computations, Statutory Accounts, Bookkeeping, Sage, IRIS and VAT Returns.Whilst at Martin Aitken & Co Ltd, I gained significant experience dealing with all areas of general practice from small sole traders through to corporate companies; covering a wide range of markets from Doctors to Joiners, with increased exposure to Dentistry. I aim to provide a great level of service to any business that I work with. I built up a relationship with a number of clients through preparing their VAT Returns and liasing with them and HMRC on any queries they had.
