I design, build, and architect data networks. In recent years my focus has been with the monitoring and management of data networks with emphasis on alerting, trend analysis, and capacity planning--> Architects, leads, and audits project activities, policies, and practices in the implementation and co-existence of multiple network and server monitoring systems used to maintain and report on the BWC network--> Provides new solutions designs to IT and upper management through the creation, analysis and interpretation of network reports and related monitoring.--> Updates Network Operations Center (and monitoring), reducing the number of monitoring systems, and increasing the number of network devices monitored including all production servers, and facilities devices while lowering cost. --> Directly work with external vendors and other agencies on evaluating hardware and software solutions for solving integration issues through the use of network monitoring, utilization measurements, and alerts.

--> Worked with many businesses of varying sizes to implement both forklift and phased upgrades of networking technologies such as Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, FDDI, and VLAN technologies. --> Provided network troubleshooting services to customers utilizing packet sniffing technologies.--> Prepared technology presentations for company stakeholders.--> Provided continual on-site engineer support for several government agencies.

Employed to assist with everyday networking responsibilities for this long distance phone company.--> One of several technicians that implemented and maintained a Nortel PBX phone system--> Configured network switches and routers to support the company’s expansion and changing needs.
