Profile bio

About Chris Nesmith, Ph.D.

My career as a college professor, administrator, and leader has focused on developing, implementing, and growing innovative academic programs that increase access and success outcomes for working adults, nontraditional learners, and anyone who seeks an opportunity to learn and improve their lives. Over the course of that career I have developed innovative partnerships with partner institutions, school districts, workforce development boards, and industry partners; led faculty in curricula development and program outcomes assessments; managed accreditation reviews and external program reviews; served as dean for student grievances and complaints; and managed the faculty tenure and promotion process. In my current role I work with community and technical college partners across the state and with all eight institutions across the USC system to create articulation agreements and transfer partnerships to help make a college degree more attainable for more students--a goal close to my heart as a former community college transfer student.

Listed skills include Higher Education, Student Affairs, Research, Community Outreach, and 14 others.
